Abidjan, 26th Nov 2022 (AIP) – The Director General of Foreign Trade at the Ivorian Ministry of Commerce, Kaladji Fadiga, has urged foreign and domestic investors to lean more towards the creative and cultural industry sector.
This address was made on the occasion of the opening press conference of the Creative africa nexus (CANEX) wknd 2022 at Sofitel Hotel-Ivoire in Abidjan-Cocody, Friday November 25, 2022.
According to Mr. Fadiga, this second edition of Canex, which is held on Ivorian soil, is an opportunity for players in this sector to get investors to take an interest in them. The new strategy must be geared towards education for a paradigm shift, so that there is more willingness to invest in the creative and cultural industry, he said.
Canex wknd 2022 aims to support and increase the booming creative and cultural industry in several African countries, like European, Asian and especially in America.
It is also and above all the meeting of creators, investors, public authorities on questions of fashion, cinema, music, crafts, literature, visual arts…
According to the organizers, for this 2022 edition on the edge of the Ebrié lagoon, several thousand participants from African countries and elsewhere are expected for a greater mixing of culture and creativity, like Canex 2021 which had place in Durban in South Africa and which registered more than 3000 participants.
